Glendale Edinburgh team helps support community day at Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled

Having become aware of the fantastic work that Ravelrig Riding for the Disabled do within the local community in Edinburgh, Glendale got in touch to see if there was anything they could do to help them, as the charity prepares for the relaxation of national lockdown restrictions.

Following the initial contact, Glendale Edinburgh sent a team of 4 along to Ravelrig to help at the community day, providing a range of landscape maintenance and grounds maintenance services to get the site ready for the forthcoming spring and summer season. The Glendale team was on site all day and provided a range of services including grass cutting, cutting back hedges and shrubs, clearing and spraying weeds and cleaning on-site signage. By the end of a very full day, the site looked fantastic and ready to welcome back riders, old and new.

Dougie, contracts manager for the Glendale Edinburgh team said “We knew of the fantastic work that they all do at Ravelrig and we wanted to see if we could help in any way. We jumped at the chance to use our landscaping skills to help them, and we feel so proud when we see how fantastic and welcoming the site is now. Hopefully, many riders will get a lot of pleasure from their hard work this year”.

Following the charity work undertaken, Glendale has forged a great relationship with the charity and will be working on several additional landscaping and grounds maintenance projects throughout the coming year.
