Contract Manager – Devon & Cornwall (Exeter based)

We have long term grounds maintenance contracts with established clients in Devon & Cornwall including Exeter City Council, West Devon Borough Council and Torbay Council and several housing associations. We are seeking a Contract Manager to oversee these long-term partnership contracts and to continue to develop our business in the area.

Based at our office in Exeter the successful candidate will be an experienced and proactive manager, able to offer operational management and support to our clients, customers and service users throughout Devon & Cornwall. Monitoring the progress of scheduled work on site and taking quick and effective action to maintain high productivity, client satisfaction and profit targets. Working to clear procedures to ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

You will have full responsibility for the contracts finances and operations as well as overseeing growth plans for the business, locally.

Qualifications and requirements

You will be qualified in horticulture or similar field with a minimum of 5 years management experience on similar contracts, hold a UK drivers licence and live within 45 mins of Exeter. Monitoring of productivity is a pivotal part of the role with the use of the Glendale on-line field management works programme a pivotal tool for the post holder so good IT knowledge and a passion for modern management techniques are also required along with good time and people management, administrative and communication skills.
